Sometimes I think of how
whoever conquers your heart
shall have your beautiful, curly hair
and your large, dark eyes
all for themselves
and I would envy them
more than I would the conqueror of the world
Here's where I dump my unfinished poetry. The title of the blog comes from the Nahuatl phrase "in tlilli in tlapalli" (the black, the red) which is a metaphor for codex writing. Poems that I decide to revise and make more presentable will be deleted from here.
